Rebirth

San Francisco MarathonImage by luxomedia via FlickrOk, Ok, Ok.  This time it's for real, I'm back at it.  I'm serious.  I am currently training for a the San Francisco marathon, that will take place some time in July.  When I say currently training, what I mean is that I haven't been running much lately.  I recently went through a series spiritual rituals (mostly illegal) and decided to recommit myself.

So let it be known, Imma get my run on!

Brrrrr

It's freezing balls out there folks, which means one of two things: 
It's time to put on 50 layers of running gear only to break into a ridiculous sweat 5 blocks down the road, provoking you to remaster your lateset stripper moves.
Or you could start logging an unthoughtof amount of miles on the ol' treadmill.

I now the later idea is probably not the closest to your hearts, but I urge you to hear me out.  The treadmill is great to get in those much dreaded speed training drills.  You know what I'm talking about 400m or 800m repeats, or perhaps a good tempo run. 

If you want to just take it easy and you love to read, like I do.  I recomend the purchase of a Kindle.  I got one for Christmas from the inlaws and is has been a blessing.  I've always tried to read on a treadmill, but I could never follow the words in a traditional book as I'm bouncing up and down, up and down.  With the kindle (you can do this with your labtop just as well) you can make the letters bigger.  This is an amazing feature and I'm super fabulously thrilled by the fact that I can now read and run at the same time.
